We recently had the opportunity to go to the Washington DC temple. A group of young women watched children at the nearby church so Jed and I were able to attend together. We were able to so a sealing session and had a wonderful experience. Afterward, we took our children to visit the temple grounds. This is were the picture of Kenton and McKay was taken. Kenton is really enjoying his role as "Big Brother".
The kids are growing and most days are great. McKay still isn't saying many words. They Dr. wants him to be evaluated because he is "delayed." I think he just dosen't need to talk constantly. And that is a good thing! I have another talker and sometimes it is too much to always take in. I remember thinking that I would never love another baby as much as I loved Kenton. Now with McKay, I think he is the cutest little boy I have ever loved. It is a magical thing. Our boys are beautiful and we are very grateful for the life and love they have added to our family
This past Sunday I was released as Stake Primary President. I spoke in Stake Conference and was grateful I would have a little season of rest. But there is no rest for the wicked as they say. Last night the Bishop had a long talk with Jed and I. He is releasing Jed as the Young Men's President and calling him to Gospel Doctrine teacher and calling me to Young Women's President. The most feared callings were extended to Jed and myself. At one point I could only laugh because it seemed completely unreal.
Jed and I are grateful for all the blessings the Lord has blessed us with. Jed had a paper published in August and another is accepted for publication. He will start working on his tenure paperwork in the next few days. He is very nervous but we can see that we have been blessed in this process.
As for me, I just pray the Lord will direct us in the right way. Love, Lynette
