Our Paradise

We built this pergolla on the back of our deck to add some color and shade to the deck. It turned out so beautifully that I wanted to share these photos. It is more beautiful in person so come join us for an evening of conversation in our own little paradise.

A Dramatic Difference

Here is a view from our deck. This is a 10 day difference! Life springing up is such a miracle.

Cutting down a tree

For many years we have worried this tree would fall on our house. Finally this year, though several miracles, we had the opportunity to remove the branch over our home. Thanks to our friends who knew what they were doing and had this amazing equipment, we cut down the branch which was as big as a tree! We are so grateful for Jonathan and Gordon. It is good to have friends who come to our rescue. This is Jed and Jonathan in the lift.
Kenton and Kayla are taking their turns going up!
McKay and i also had a turn. We took a picture of Jed from up high. you can see all the debri from the branch we cut off.

Easter Photos

What an adorable little family!

So, we have gone from winter to summer! Today's high was 88 degrees. We are grateful for the sunshine! Jed's parents celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this year and his dad has requested current family photos. So, here is our contribution. We are headed to Colorado this summer for a family reunion to be held as a celebration of the monumental year.
We have enjoyed the rebirth of the earth as Spring has come. It has been a wonderful reminder of the Easter season and all it represents to us. We are grateful for our Savior and his love which constantly blesses our life! Happy Easter to our family and friends.

How deep will it go?

Here is a picture of a woodpecker in our back yard. He has gone to town on this tree the past several days. The boys have loved watching him.
You can see the large branch that fell onto our shed. We are hoping there isn't any damage but it is too cold to go and investigate to much. We are planning to wait until it warms up a bit.

Our pine tree has see better days. I hope it survives it latest weighty trial.
We have been home bound for days as the snow is still causing lots of problems on the road. The kids have been out of school all week so I suppose this is our Christmas break we really didn't get as Kenton was so sick. Hopefully all this snow will bring a beautiful Spring of which I am hoping for soon.

Christmas in the hospital

Kenton was admitted to the hospital on Christmas eve because of low oxygen. It wasn't until a week later we got the final test result confirming he had RSV. It wasn't a every exciting way to spend Christmas for any of us but I did gain an appreciation for being together at home. We we very happy when he was released a few days later.

Love that chocolate cake

We celebrated one year with our little girl. she is so adorable. We just love her. She is becoming a daddy's girl, which makes Jed very happy. She is now walking and exploring new things.
